Support update – UvWin and Windows 7 Obsolescence

At Dia-Stron, we endeavour to support our legacy systems beyond the standard warranty through service and support for as long as it is possible to obtain spare parts and maintain the associated software. Our new product ranges evolve from and are improved by advances in associated technology. As the technology available changes, we review our legacy systems to determine what we can continue to support.

Following our most recent review (July 2023), we have determined that we can no longer provide support for systems ordered prior to 1st January 2013, and give formal notice of this effective from 1st September 2023. This is due to recent changes in electronic parts supply and the withdrawal of Windows 7 support, affecting systems using serial connectors and serial to USB connectors, including systems using UvWin software versions 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x.

We confirm that we will continue to provide service and support for systems ordered after 1st January 2013 using UvWin 4.x for the foreseeable future.
