New release for Summer 2020 – fibra.lex.decrimp!

We’ve been working on something new – the Dia-Stron fibra.lex.decrimp, due for release Summer 2020.

This high definition extensometer enables high resolution measurement of the initial region of the load-extension curve attributed to fibre crimp removal. Measurement of the decrimping force and energy provides further understanding on the impact of crimp on the mechanical properties of the hair, with the potential to use these parameters in the study of straightening mechanisms, influence of hair care ingredients and hair devices, on high curl type hair fibres.
